Norma has been active in TCRS since the 1980s. She and Jim Campbell gave “Huntley-Brinkley” talks at Home and Garden Shows on how to succeed growing roses. Her mentor Leona Mattison passed on to Norma the job of editing the Rose Herald. When being the sole editor grew too weighty, Jo Angelos stepped up as Co-Editor. Norma was TCRS secretary, vice-president and president. She served as District Chair of Arrangements, was awarded the ARS Silver Honor Medal and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Kaye McCrea DeBona moved to Kennewick, WA in 2019 by way of Dallas, Texas and Asheville, North Carolina. In Asheville, she worked 8 years in the Biltmore Estate Rose Garden ,(a garden that has over 2,000 roses) and was part of the Blue Ridge Rose Society.  The short time she was in Dallas, Texas, she worked for Covington Nursery and Landscaping, one of the area’s largest Nursery and Landscaping Company.  Since her move to Kennewick in 2019, she has taken on the responsibility of overseeing the Lawrence Scott Rose Garden.
